These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the website, services, and AI-powered vending machines operated by Vielo (“Vielo,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), a Montreal-based company. By hosting a Vielo machine at your property, purchasing a product from a Vielo machine, or using our website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
1. Our Services
Vielo installs, stocks, and maintains AI-powered smart vending machines in gyms, condominiums, apartment buildings, offices, and clinics across Montreal. Our machines use AI vision technology and cashless payment to allow customers to select and pay for products without cash, cards inserted into the machine, or manual selection buttons.
2. Hosting a Vielo Machine (Property and Business Owners)
If you host a Vielo machine at your property, the following terms apply:
The machine, its installation, restocking, and ongoing maintenance are provided at no cost to you.
Vielo retains ownership of the machine and all related equipment at all times.
Vielo carries liability insurance covering the machine while it is installed at your property.
You may request removal of the machine at any time. We back every install with a 60-day, no-questions-asked removal guarantee.
You are responsible for providing reasonable access to the installation space and standard electrical power.
Any revenue-sharing arrangement, if applicable, will be agreed to separately in writing and is not guaranteed by these Terms.
3. Purchasing from a Vielo Machine (Customers)
Vielo machines accept cashless payment only, including credit cards, debit cards, and supported mobile wallets. When you open a machine, take a product, and close the door, our AI vision system identifies the item(s) taken and automatically charges your payment method.
By using a Vielo machine, you agree that:
You are responsible for reviewing the charge reflected on your payment method after each transaction.
If you believe you were charged incorrectly, you may contact us at hello@vielo.ca for a review and, where appropriate, a refund.
Products are sold as-is; please check expiration dates and packaging before consuming any item.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to tamper with, damage, or attempt to bypass the payment or AI recognition systems of any Vielo machine. Vielo reserves the right to restrict access to its machines and services for anyone who violates these Terms or damages our equipment.
5. Payment Processing
All payments are processed securely through third-party payment processors. Vielo does not store your full payment card details. Your use of these payment services is also subject to the payment processor’s own terms and privacy practices.
6. Intellectual Property
All content, branding, design elements, and software associated with Vielo, including our website, logo, and machine software, are owned by or licensed to Vielo and protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of our platform or branding without our prior written permission.
7. Third-Party Services
Vielo machines and our website may rely on third-party providers, including payment processors, cellular data providers, and hosting infrastructure. We are not responsible for the performance, availability, or privacy practices of these third-party services.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vielo shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our machines, website, or services, including damages related to product quality, machine downtime, or payment processing errors, except where caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
Our services and machines are provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. While we work to keep every machine stocked, operational, and accurately charging customers, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation at all times.
10. Termination
Vielo may remove a machine from a property, or restrict use of our services, at any time in accordance with the hosting agreement or if these Terms are violated. Property owners may request removal of a machine at any time, subject to our 60-day removal guarantee.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date on this page. Continued use of our services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
